UK & IRELAND MAP
by ballistic ini had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).
(and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).
anyway, all you have to do is post or email me your username and town and i will draw you on the map above which will change gradually to include everyone!.

Info about politics/df'ing please
by meat pie ini seem to remember hearing from the platform that if a jw was involved in politics that was tantamount to da'ing, therefore df'ing.
i am thinking of going to a political meeting next week at the same time, almost same place as the book study, (he he)am i correct in thinking there is some info somewhere that the wts had to back down on the first premise?
i would be very glad if someone could point me in the right direction as i hope to bring the subject up in a future conversation with jws, and expect a negative response and i would love to have something to show them that proved the hypocrisy.

Okay, This is a bit "weird"

This is weird. Many years ago, before I was a JW I dreamt is saw my dead Grandfather walking along a street I knew, I said something like ' you're dead, so what happens?' he replied something to the effect that the JWs were right about what happens.This was very weird when you consider what JWs believe. Anyway when I started studying with JWs I did think it might be some kind of 'sign' or something.I forgot to take into account that my GF was actually a very nasty piece of work, lazy, violent to wife and kids, pervert, probable pedophile, practiser of incest etc. I should have seen it a sign 'don't go there!'

what caught your attention and sucked you in?.
my parents became jws when i was 5 years old, so it was pretty much the only way of life that i knew.

I really thought the Bible research was genuine.I did not join for the company as many do. I could live without that. I am concerned that I was never told some of the 'rules' I've heard of only since I've been here! some things probably slipped by me unnoticed, such as the mediator thing recently mentioned here.I honestly believed they were trying to get at the real meaning of the Bible, of course now I know differently.

Chatting in the supermarket...
by meat pie inyesterday morning to two women,one says her teenage daughter has started to study the bible with a teenage jw i know.
husband and i are both alarmed, but the woman in question says she doesn't expect it to last.and her brother-in-law wrote a book 'about dates and stuff' and was df'd.
so she already knows a good bit about jws.anyway i told her about the dateline prog even though she won't probably be able to see it, she was shocked at that, so hopefully the study will end soon.i also told her there had been a non-pedophile cover-up at the local cong.

Update on my Mom - please read
by MrMoe inwell, mom is now on morphine, so she has a few days at best.
her organs are now faling, heart and lungs are the worst off.
went in the hospital today, laid there next to her for hours.
